Biography
Erin Butler, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in histiocytic disorders, solid tumor malignancy, and benign hematology.
Dr. Butler earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She gained advanced training through a pediatric hematology and oncology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she served as Chief Fellow.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in hematology and oncology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2018.
Dr. Butler is the Program Leader of Histiocytic Disorders at UT Southwestern and leads the HLH Task Force. She also serves on the Histiocytic Neoplasms Panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
Dr. Butler has published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise and has lectured on oncologic emergencies, bone sarcomas, histiocytic disorders, and other topics.
