Meet Our Prevalence Study Team
Physicians and public health experts at UT Southwestern and Texas Health Resources have embarked on a potentially groundbreaking study to better understand how COVID-19 is impacting people in Dallas and Tarrant counties. Results of the study, which will involve a cross-section of the diverse local population, will help guide decisions being made in our communities to keep you and your family safe and healthy.
Amit Singal, M.D.
Dr. Singal is a Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern, co-Leader of the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center Population Sciences Program, and the Dedman Family Scholar in Clinical Care. He serves as the principal investigator of the DFW COVID-19 Prevalence Study.
Jasmin Tiro, Ph.D.
Dr. Jasmin Tiro is an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern in the Department of Population and Data Sciences and an Associate Director for Community Outreach, Engagement, and Equity for the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. She leads community engagement efforts for the DFW COVID-19 Prevalence Study.
Andrew Masica, M.D.
Dr. Andrew Masica is the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Reliable Health at Texas Health Resources. He serves as co-principal investigator of the DFW COVID-19 Prevalence Study.
