Biography
Ahmad Mashmoushi, M.D., Ph.D., is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in pediatric nephrology.
Dr. Mashmoushi earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and the American University of Beirut (AUB) through the National Institutes of Health Medical Scientist Training Program, during which he also earned a doctorate in microbiology and immunology. He completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at UT Southwestern.
Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.
Dr. Mashmoushi is a member of the American Society of Transplantation, the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
He has delivered several presentations, contributed to the book Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and published numerous academic articles related to his areas of expertise. In addition to his clinical work, he is also interested in building databases to evaluate and improve outcomes in patients with kidney disease.
