Biography

Carly Thompson, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Frisco. She has special expertise in rehabilitation related to imbalance, vertigo, vestibular dysfunction, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, concussion, and cancer-related fatigue/survivorship. She also has extensive training in myofascial release.

Dr. Thompson earned her doctorate in physical therapy at the University of New England in Portland, Maine, graduating with an Interprofessional Honors Award. She also holds an undergraduate degree in kinesiology from Indiana University.

After working at a critical access hospital in rural Maine in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, Dr. Thompson realized the growing need for treating people with dizziness and imbalance. She took various continuing education courses with these areas of focus, which led to her love and passion for caring for patients in this community.

Prior to joining UT Southwestern in 2019, she worked at the FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Center in Allen, Texas. She says she feels blessed to continue serving the patients and families of North Texas.
