Biography

Heather Benton, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, is a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) in the department of Pulmonology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Miss. Benton completed her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2017 and then earned her Master's of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2022. She has worked as a bedside nurse for five years. Three of those years in the medical intensive care unit (MICU), and 2 years in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU). She is a member of the Iota Mu Sigma Theta Tau TTUHSC honors chapter serving as catalyst for change throughout the World.
