Biography

Jasmine Stephens, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in women’s reproductive mental health.

Dr. Stephens earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed a general psychiatry residency at The University of Texas at Austin Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident, and gained advanced training through a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in psychiatry and consultation liaison psychiatry, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021.

Dr. Stephens is a Fellow of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and belongs to several other professional societies, including the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, and the Austin Black Physicians Association.

She has contributed to multiple publications and abstracts and given invited lectures related to her areas of expertise.

In 2020, Dr. Stephens earned First Place for Case Presentation Research at the UT Austin Psychiatry Department Research Day.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Stephens enjoys dancing including jazz, ballet, and contemporary, traveling, all things Houston, and spending time with her fiancé and dogs.
