Jeanean Carter, M.S., APRN, CNM

Biography

Jeanean Carter, MS, CNM, is a board-certified nurse midwife at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree at Madonna University in Michigan in 1996, her Master of Science degree from the University of Philadelphia in 2004 as well as her midwifery certification from UT Southwestern in 2004. Ms. Carter has worked in private practice in McKinney, Texas since 2004 and started with UT Southwestern in 2018. She is dedicated to providing safe, evidenced based maternal and fetal care while empowering women to achieve their labor and birth goals. She has been awarded the “Mom Approved” award from Dallas Child magazine for the past several years. She is involved in training both nurse practitioner and midwife students during their clinical rotations and enjoys teaching childbirth classes.
