Biography

Kyle Schmucker, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in pediatric emergency medicine.

Dr. Schmucker earned his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and gained advanced training in pediatric emergency medicine through a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Board certified in pediatrics, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Schmucker’s research interests include community outreach, pediatric emergency medical services, prehospital care, and utilization of children’s hospitals. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Emergency Medical Services for Children Innovation and Improvement Center, and the National Association of EMS Physicians.
