Biography

Ladan Agharokh, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in rhabdomyolysis, children with special health care needs, and diagnostic dilemmas.

Dr. Agharokh earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School and completed a residency in pediatrics at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2015.

Dr. Agharokh is the Associate Director for the Pediatric Clerkship at UT Southwestern. She is also Course Director of the pediatric track of Residency Essentials and the Pediatric Sub-Internship.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is a member of several professional associations, including the Gold Humanism Honor Society, Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics (COMSEP), and Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

Dr. Agharokh’s research interests include communication skills, high-fidelity simulation in education, and medical education, and she has delivered numerous lectures and presentations.

In 2021, she earned the UT Southwestern Pediatric Residency Program’s Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award.
