Lauren Benefield, M.S.N., APRN, FNP-C

Biography

Lauren Benefield, M.S.N., APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner in the Department of Neurology and practices in the Epilepsy Clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Ms. Benefield completed her bachelor’s degree in genetics with a minor in neuroscience in 2016, and her bachelor of science in nursing at Baylor University in 2020. Her RN experience includes specialties such as the operating room, medical-surgical, and oncology.

She earned her master of science in nursing–family nurse practitioner degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2024. She holds a national board certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a family nurse practitioner, and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
