Biography

Michelle Eddins, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in obstetric anesthesiology. 

Dr. Eddins earned her medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed her residency in anesthesiology and pain management at UT Southwestern in 2016, followed by a fellowship in obstetric anesthesiology in 2017. 

Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017. 

Dr. Eddins is heavily involved in the residency program within the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. She also serves as the Chief of Quality Improvement within the division of Obstetric Anesthesiology at Parkland Memorial Hospital.  In addition, Dr. Eddins conducts clinical research, serves on numerous committees, and writes chapters published in educational textbooks. 

She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology, and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists. 

Personal Note

Dr. Eddins enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. Her hobbies include traveling, kickboxing, and numerous outdoor activities.
