Natalia David, Psy.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in behavioral sleep medicine and pain psychology.
Dr. David earned her doctoral degree in psychology with an emphasis in health psychology at Alliant International University’s California School of Professional Psychology. During graduate training, she completed several clinical practicums, including an advanced externship at UCLA’s Simms/Mann Center for Psycho-Oncology. She continued her training in health psychology at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital and completed a dual-specialty training track fellowship in chronic pain and psycho-oncology at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. David joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2018. She works as a hospital psychologist within the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry division and in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. She is also involved in the Psychiatry Residency Training program, teaching and supervising medical students and residents in group psychotherapy.
She is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Board of Behavioral Sleep Medicine, the Academy for Integrative Pain Management, and the American Psychological Association’s Division of Health Psychology. In 2017, she received the Baylor Scott & White Research Institute’s Podium Presentation Award and scholarship.
Dr. David has delivered numerous presentations and completed several research projects.
