Biography
Olutoyosi Ogunkua, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in obstetric anesthesia.
Dr. Ogunkua earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. He completed a residency in anesthesia at UT Southwestern, where he also received advanced training through a fellowship in obstetric anesthesia.
Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.
Dr. Ogunkua conducts clinical and translational research in obstetric anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology, and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists.
