Biography

Ravikanth Maddipati, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in pancreatic disorders and the management of patients at high risk for developing pancreatic cancer. 

Dr. Maddipati holds a bachelor's degree in computer and electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, where he graduated magna cum laude. He remained there to obtained a master's degree in biomedical engineering. He earned his medical degree with honors from Boston University School of Medicine, and completed a residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, He then received advanced training in gastroenterology through a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Maddipati joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2019. 

His research interests include pancreatic cancer, tumor metastasis, and pancreatitis.

He is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Pancreatic Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
