Biography

Renea Powell, DNP, APRN, NNP-BC, CPNP-PC, currently, serves as one of the Lead Advanced Practice Providers for Neonatology and the Thrive clinic. Renea brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the care of neonates and children. Her educational journey in nursing began at Trinity Valley Community College where she earned her Associate Degree in Applied Sciences, Nursing. She then obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Arlington. She then furthered her education and expertise by obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing from Baylor University, followed by her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2006 her career has been driven by two core passions, educating the next generation of nurses and nurse practitioners and providing care to the youngest and most vulnerable patients and their families. Her role as a Nurse Practitioner has allowed her to directly impact the lives of countless neonates and children, ensuring they receive the highest standard of medical care during critical moments in their lives.
