Biography

Saba Masood, Ph.D. (she/her), is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. She is a licensed psychologist at the Multispeciality Outpatient Psychiatry (Dallas) and Behavioral Health (Richardson) Clinics and works alongside the Transitional Age Youth and Adult Autism specialty teams.

Her clinical interests include mentalization-based and psychodynamic psychotherapy, serious mental illness in emerging adults, relational trauma, sociocultural considerations in identity development, and collaborative/therapeutic assessment.

Dr. Masood’s training background is in child clinical psychology, which provides her with a unique perspective in working with emerging adults. A particular interest of hers is the progression of pre-existing childhood mental illness into young adulthood.
