Biography

Sonia Voleti, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in fetal cardiology.

Dr. Voleti earned her medical degree at the Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and gained advanced training in pediatric cardiology through a fellowship at the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Voleti’s clinical interests include the interplay between congenital heart disease and neurodevelopment, global health, and medical education. She is a member of the Fetal Heart Society and the American Society of Echocardiography and has delivered presentations and published peer-reviewed articles related to her areas of expertise.
