Biography

Taylor Wootton, M.D., is originally from Allen, Texas, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University.

Drawn to providing safe, efficient, and high value inpatient care, Dr. Wootton began her career in hospital medicine at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. After three years as a private hospitalist, she began work as an academic hospitalist with the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, teaching residents and students full-time. She also developed and implemented a de novo longitudinal quality and safety curriculum for medical residents, as well as led many quality and safety initiatives as a physician advisor.

Dr. Wootton is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Healthcare Quality and Safety through the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
