Biography

Thomas Shoultz, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and critical care. 

Dr. Shoultz earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in general surgery. He then received advanced training in surgical critical care through a fellowship at the University of Washington-Harborview Medical Center. 

Board certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017.

He is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Asian Academic Surgeons.
