Biography

Tierra Brown, M.S.N., APRN, AGACNP-BC, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner at UT Southwestern Medical Center. 

She is dual certified as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, respectively. 

Originally from Madison, Mississippi, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama. 

Previously, she worked as a registered nurse at Select Specialty, a long term acute care facility where she gained extensive critical care knowledge and experience. That experience led her to become a nurse practitioner, with the goal of managing chronic diseases through preventive measures and patient-centered care. 

Ms. Brown is a member of Texas Nurse Practitioners and volunteers her time providing medical screenings in her hometown.
