Weissler Jonathan 17840

Dr. Jonathan C. WeisslerProfessor of Internal Medicine, directly supervises the Hospital Medicine program at UT Southwestern University Hospitals. Dr. Weissler earned his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Affiliated Hospitals/Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he served as Chief Medical Resident. After the completion of a fellowship in pulmonary diseases at UT Southwestern, Dr. Weissler joined the faculty in 1985. A nationally respected expert in pulmonary and critical care medicine, he has served since 2006 as Chief of Medicine for UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Vice Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Nicholas Brownell

Dr. Nicholas Brownell is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Brownell trained in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and began his career as a hospitalist in 2018.

Dr. Shweta Chowdhury is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine who earned her medical degree at Bharti Vidyapeeth Medical College in India. She trained in internal medicine at Rochester General Hospital prior to joining UT Southwestern as a hospitalist in 2016. Dr. Chowdhury also serves as Medical Director of Utilization Review for University Hospitals.

Dr. Ogechi Dike is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine who earned her medical degree at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. Dr. Dike completed her residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and joined UT Southwestern in 2015.

He earned his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, and completed a residency in internal medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans. Dr. Fomunung joined UT Southwestern as a hospitalist in 2015.

Dr. Haseeb Kazi is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Kazi earned his medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine in the Caribbean and completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to UT Southwestern in 2015, he was a hospitalist at Emory University in Atlanta.

Dr. Jeffrey Levea is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine who earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Prior to relocating to UT Southwestern in 2015, Dr. Levea was a hospitalist at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennesee.

Dr. Grace Liu

Dr. Grace Liu is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Liu earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed a residency in internal medicine at West Virginia University in Morgantown. Prior to joining UT Southwestern in early 2018, she was a hospitalist at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Matthew Lo

Dr. Matthew Lo is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Lo earned his medical degree and completed a residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern. He has been practicing as a hospitalist at UT Southwestern since 2007.

Dr. Richard Mills

Dr. Richard Mills is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Dr. Mills trained in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and began his career as a hospitalist in 2018.

Sruthi Patibandla

Dr. Sruthi Patibandla is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Patibandla earned her medical degree and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. She also completed fellowship training in hepatology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. She joined UT Southwestern as a hospitalist in early 2018.

Dr. Sarah Schneider

Dr. Sarah Schneider is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. She received her initial medical training at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in College Station, Texas. She trained in internal medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, and started her career as a hospitalist with UT Southwestern in 2017.

Dr. Langdon Stone is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine who received his initial medical training at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He trained in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and started his career as a hospitalist in 2017.

Dr. Senthil Sukumar

Dr. Senthil Sukumar is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Missouri. Dr. Sukumar completed his residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and began his career as a hospitalist in 2018.

Abey Thomas, M.D.

Dr. Abey Thomas is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine who earned his medical degree at Russian State Medical University in Moscow. He completed a residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Queens, where he was Chief Resident. He also received fellowship training in nephrology and hypertension at New York-Presbyterian/Queens. Dr. Thomas joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in 2012. He has been Medical Director of the Division of Hospital Medicine at UT Southwestern University Hospitals since 2013. Dr. Thomas has been selected to serve as a mentor for medical students in UT Southwestern's Seldin College.

Emilia Thomas, M.D.

Dr. Emilia Thomas is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine who earned her medical degree at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. She completed internal medicine training at Virginia Commonwealth University/Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health in Abington, Penn. Dr. Thomas also received an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas. She has been practicing as a hospitalist at UT Southwestern since 2005, and has been selected to serve as a mentor for medical students in UT Southwestern's Seldin College.

Amitha Thudi, M.D.

Dr. Amitha Thudi is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine who earned her medical degree at Siddhartha Medical College in Karnataka, India. Dr. Thudi completed a residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern in 2006 and has been practicing as a hospitalist at UT Southwestern since.

Dr. Fatima Wazni received her initial medical training at UT Southwestern, where she also completed her residency. After completing her residency, she remained at UT Southwestern to become a faculty member in hospitalist medicine. Dr. Wazni's clinical interests include patient and medical education. She is originally from Pflugerville, Texas, but she considers Dallas her hometown. 

Dr. Chris Wrobel

Dr. Chris Wrobel is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine who earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He trained in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and began his career as a hospitalist in 2018.

Min Y, M.D.

Dr. Min Yi is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Yi earned his medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center of Columbia University. Dr. Yi has been practicing as a hospitalist at UT Southwestern since 2009.

Dr. Ali Zamanian is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Mashad University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Dr. Zamanian completed a residency in general surgery at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California, and an internal medicine residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Dr. Zamanian has been practicing as a hospitalist at UT Southwestern since 2008.
