The orthopaedic surgery team at UT Southwestern Fort Worth offers innovative surgical and nonoperative treatment options for patients who have injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, which includes the bones, joints, and muscles of the body. We apply a multidisciplinary approach to evaluate and treat many types of orthopaedic conditions and injuries. Next-day appointments are often available.

We specialize in the care of all athletes: from pediatric and adolescent players to college and professional competitors, as well as weekend warriors and master athletes. We believe all patients and injuries are different, and we work with each patient to develop uniquely suited and individualized treatment plans.

Meet Dr. Singleton

Steven Singleton, M.D., specializes in sports medicine, especially injuries of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle, as well as ACL injuries, cartilage restoration, and biologics for sports medicine. Dr. Singleton trained and practiced at The Steadman Clinic in Colorado and co-founded the Texas Health Sports Medicine Research and Education Institute before joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022. He has consulted for many sports teams and national sporting events.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To make the most of your time with the doctor, prepare a list of questions ahead of time and bring it to your appointment.

On the day of the appointment, please arrive 20 minutes early to allow time for parking and registration. We do our best to see patients at their scheduled appointment time.

Please bring the following items:

  • Personal identification
  • Current insurance card
  • Method of payment
  • Current medications
  • Completed paperwork, if you received forms before the visit

To facilitate ongoing communication, we recommend patients sign up with MyChart, our secure, online health management tool that allows patients to communicate directly with doctors, request prescription refills, update contact information, view test results, and request clinic appointments. Canceling an Appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the center at least 48 hours in advance so we can accommodate other patients waiting to schedule an appointment.
