Biography

Aki Ohinata, M.P.A.S., PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) in the Department of Surgical Oncology in the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Texas A&M University in College Station, and then earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She has over 17 years of experience in oncology with a special interest in gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. She is a part of the Peritoneal Malignancies and HIPEC Program at UT Southwestern.

She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
