Biography

Ankit Mehta, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Vascular and Interventional Radiology Division. Dr. Mehta earned his medical degree from the accelerated six-year B.A./M.D. program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Truman Medical Center and St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He then completed his residency in diagnostic and interventional radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/ Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, during which he served as chief resident.

Dr. Mehta's primary areas of clinical practice include men's health including prostate artery embolization, uterine embolization for fibroids, geniculate artery embolization for knee pain secondary to osteoarthritis, and invasive image-guided treatments for liver and renal cancers.

Dr. Mehta is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is also a proponent of both community and global outreach.
