Biography

Anthony Hang, D.O., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.

Dr. Hang earned his medical degree at the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. He completed a residency in family medicine at Saint Louis University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

Dr. Hang has strong clinical interests in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and the integration of technology to enhance patient access, continuity of care, and overall primary care quality. He is committed to evidence-based, patient-centered care and the expansion of accessible healthcare services. Dr. Hang also educates and mentors medical students and precepts residents.

He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Personal Note

When he’s not at work, Dr. Hang enjoys spending time with his wife and son and playing recreational basketball.
