Biography

Anthony T. Machi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine. 

Dr. Machi earned his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed a residency in anesthesia and a fellowship in regional anesthesia at the University of California, San Diego. 

Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2015.

Dr. Machi is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He conducts research within the fields of regional anesthesia and acute pain. He is also active in anesthesia education, including as an editor of the acute pain section of Anesthesia Toolbox, an online collaborative educational platform in anesthesiology.
