Biography
Bethsabee Stone, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She serves as Director of Clinical Ultrasound for the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She specializes in pediatric emergency medicine and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS).
Dr. Stone earned her medical degree at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and completed a residency in pediatrics at Jacobi Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx, New York. She received advanced training through a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center, where she served as Chief Fellow. She also completed a pediatric POCUS fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.
Dr. Stone serves as the Co-chair for the Point-of-Care Ultrasound Governance Committee at UT Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She is a member of the Society of Clinical Ultrasound Fellowships, the American College of Emergency Physicians, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Her clinical interests include pediatric, procedural, and diagnostic POCUS; global health; and pediatric trauma. She has delivered several presentations and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
Personal Note
When she’s not at work, Dr. Stone enjoys family time with her husband and children, international travel, and interior design. She holds a master's degree in architecture and urban research from the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
