Biography
Beatrix Bansal MD, FAAP is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She attended Santa Clara University where she received a Bachelors in Combined Sciences. She spent a year after this as an Adjunct Professor in Biochemistry at Santa Clara University. After this, she then began Medical School at the University of Hawaii John A Burns School of Medicine in 1990 and graduated with an MD from this program in 1994. After this, she started and completed a 3 year Pediatric Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Upon completion of this, she began and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. This was completed in 2000. After this, she worked at Children's Medical Center in the Emergency Department for many years and then worked at Cook Childrens in their Emergency Department for 4 years and finally returned to the University of Texas at Southwestern in 2015 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
