Biography

Brenda Goings, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) in the Department of Heart, Lung, and Vascular Services. She is Ventricular Assist Device(VAD) coordinator in the LVAD clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Memphis in 2000 and then earned her Masters of Science in Nursing at her alma mater in 2014. Ms. Goings has worked in cardiac medicine since 2000, with the last 2 years working in electrophysiology as an advanced practice provider in a private cardiology practice.
