Biography

Carl Adkins, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. 

Dr. Adkins earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, and he completed a residency in anesthesiology at UT Southwestern. 

Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1993. 

Dr. Adkins serves on the Anesthesiology Quality Improvement and Peer Review Committee for Parkland Health & Hospital System. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists.

He has delivered several presentations related to anesthesiology.
