Biography

Cynthia F. Griffith, M.P.A.S., PA-C, is a physician assistant (PA) in the Department of Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in treating patients who are immunosuppressed after solid organ or bone marrow transplant. She also practices general adult medical dermatology.

Ms. Griffith earned her undergraduate degree at John Brown University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She earned her master's degree in physician assistant studies at UT Southwestern School of Health Professions. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners.

Ms. Griffith's clinical and research interests include skin cancer screening and prevention in immunosuppressed populations, including patients undergoing solid organ and bone marrow transplant.

Among her accolades, Ms. Griffith was awarded UT Southwestern's 2017 Physician Assistant of the Year Award and UT Southwestern's 2022 Outstanding APP in Scholarly Endeavors. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. She is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Dermatology for Physician Assistants. Cynthia is a guest lecturer in the UT Southwestern PA program and a lecturer at local, regional and national conferences. Cynthia has written numerous peer reviewed publications.
