Biography
Cynthia Wei, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in thoracic oncology and general hematology-oncology.
Dr. Wei earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident. She then gained advanced training in hematology and oncology through a fellowship at the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she served as Chief Fellow. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Wei joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.
Dr. Wei sees patients at UT Southwestern’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center’s main campus and RedBird locations. Her clinical and research interests include providing patient-centered care to underserved populations and bringing clinical trial options to her patients.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Wei enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family and dog.
