David Wainwright, M.S.N., APRN, FNP-C, FNP-BC

Biography

David Wainwright, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) in the Department of surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Mr. Wainwright completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2016 and earned his Masters of Science in Nursing Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2020. He is also a member of the American Nurses Association and Texas Nurses Association and was awarded the Daisy Nurse Award in 2018. His nursing experience includes ICU, emergency services, and surgical specialties clinic from 2014 to 2020. He completed an urgent care practitioner fellowship in 2021 before transitioning to smoking cessation provider with Parkland Hospital. He now works in surgery as a nurse practitioner.
