Biography

Deanna Y. Watley, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner at UT Southwestern Medical Center.  With more than 22 years of nursing experience and over nine years as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she is dedicated to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care while building meaningful relationships founded on trust, compassion, and respect. Deanna began her nursing career in her hometown of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she earned her **Diploma in Nursing from Jefferson School of Nursing**. She went on to receive her **Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock** and her **Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Texas at Arlington**. Her educational journey, combined with decades of clinical experience, reflects a lifelong commitment to excellence in nursing and advanced practice. Throughout her career, Deanna has cared for diverse patient populations in a variety of healthcare settings, developing expertise in preventive care, chronic disease management, patient education, and comprehensive primary care. Today, she is honored to care for patients within the field of **Mineral Metabolism**, helping individuals with complex metabolic bone disorders and conditions affecting calcium, phosphorus, vitamin D, and bone health. She is passionate about translating the latest research into practical, individualized treatment plans that improve outcomes and enhance quality of life.
