Biography

Eric Rosero, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in surgical anesthesia.

Dr. Rosero earned his medical degree at the Universidad del Cauca in Colombia. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Hospital San Juan de Dios and Universidad Nacional de Colombia and later earned a master’s degree in Clinical Science at UT Southwestern.

Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2011. 

Dr. Rosero is the author of numerous scholarly articles and presentations on surgical anesthesiology. He is a reviewer for Anesthesiology and Anesthesia & Analgesia and serves on the editorial board of Colombian Journal of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Rosero is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Colombian Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, the International Anesthesia Research Society, and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists.
