Biography

Fabrizzio Delgado, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in addiction psychiatry, severe mental illness, and interventional psychiatry.

Dr. Delgado earned his medical degree at the Catholic University of Guayaquil, Ecuador. He completed a residency in psychiatry at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College in the Bronx, New York, and then gained advanced training through a fellowship in addiction psychiatry at UT Southwestern.

Board certified in both psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Delgado is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, and the Texas Medical Association.

He has delivered many presentations and contributed to a research project on vagus nerve stimulation therapy for subjects with treatment-resistant depression. He has also shared his expertise through numerous media appearances, including with The Washington Post, News Nation, Univision, Telemundo, and The Dallas Morning News.
