Biography

Grayce O'Neill, PA-C is a board-certified surgical Physician Assistant (PA) in the Department of Pediatric Surgery - Adolescent Bariatric Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. In cooperation with Dr. Faisal Qureshi and other interdisciplinary staff, she helped launch the Adolescent Bariatric Surgery program at Children's Health in 2015. She has over 15 years of experience caring for Bariatric surgery patients, including adult and adolescent populations. In that time, she has provided direct patient care for thousands of Bariatric patients in both the clinic and hospital setting. As such, she also has extensive intraoperative first-assist experience in laparoscopic primary and revision Bariatric procedures. She is passionate about helping her patients reach their weight loss goals, and feels honored to be a part of their positive, life-changing experience. She believes in working side-by-side with her patients and their families to improve their health, and educates them at each visit on how to best meet their individual needs. The effectiveness of Bariatric surgery for obese teens is underscored shortly after surgery, as her patients progressively experience a resolution of their obesity-related health problems and associated medications. Mrs. O'Neill graduated from UT Southwestern Medical Center's Physician Assistant program in Dallas in 1993, where she was a three-time Dean's List student. She is board-certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants, and licensed by the state of Texas. Her memberships include the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the American Academy of Surgical Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
