Biography
Hao Chen, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in endometrial cancers and precancers, ovarian malignancy, and cervical cancers.
Dr. Chen earned his medical degree at Shandong Medical University and his doctoral degree in immunobiology at the University of Arizona. He completed a residency in pathology at Henry Ford Hospital and the University of Arizona and received advanced training through a gynecological pathology fellowship at UT Southwestern.
Certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomical pathology and clinical pathology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2018.
Dr. Chen is a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. He is also a member of the editorial boards for the International Journal of Surgical Pathology and the World Journal of Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. Chen has delivered international and regional invited lectures, contributed to several books, including Gynecologic and Obstetric Pathology and Diagnostic Endometrial Pathology, and published numerous academic articles related to his areas of expertise.
