Biography

Helena Hwang, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in breast, soft tissue, and bone pathology.

Dr. Hwang earned her medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and a fellowship in breast pathology at Northwestern University.

Board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2013.

Dr. Hwang’s research interests include breast cancer and sarcoma. She is the author of multiple book chapters and has published numerous academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
