Biography
Javier Marull, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Marull earned his medical degree at Texas Tech University. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at Parkland Health.
Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2007.
Dr. Marull has served as Medical Director and Director of Clinical Operations at UT Southwestern’s Outpatient Surgery Center since 2010. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Dallas County Anesthesiology Society.
Dr. Marull contributed to the book Facial Reconstruction After Mohs Surgery and has published academic articles related to his areas of expertise.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Marull enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with his grandkids.
