Biography

Jessina Thomas, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease and pediatric gastroenterology.

Dr. Thomas earned her medical degree at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Michigan. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Thomas has delivered numerous presentations and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to her areas of expertise.

She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.

Personal Note

When she’s not at work, Dr. Thomas enjoys reading, traveling, and playing soccer.
