Biography

Jia Romito, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Anesthesiology and Pain ManagementNeurological Surgery, and Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Romito earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School, where she was also Chief Resident in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. She completed further advanced training fellowships in neurocritical care and neurosurgical anesthesiology and holds dual board certifications in Anesthesiology and Neurocritical Care.

Dr. Romito is the principal investigator and a co-investigator in several multidisciplinary projects with anesthesiologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and pain management specialists at UT Southwestern. She is involved in quality improvement in both the UT Southwestern Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas NeuroTrauma Intensive Care Unit.

She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society of Neurosurgical Anesthesia and Critical Care, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Neurocritical Care Society.
