Biography
Kanu Birdi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in obstetric and regional anesthesia.
Dr. Birdi earned his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2014.
Dr. Birdi’s research interests include obstetric anesthesia and acute pain management. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Dallas County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists.
