Biography
Dr. Burns joined UT Southwestern as the Associate Director of the Transplant Immunology and Histocompatibility Laboratory in August 2024. Dr. Burns completed his BS in Clinical Laboratory Science at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and hi MD at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his Clinical Pathology Residency, Transfusion Medicine Fellowship and Transplant Immunology and Histocompatibility Fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology and the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics.
