Biography

Kevin Cederberg, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Pediatric Radiology Division. He clinical interests include oncologic imaging (with a particular focus on musculoskeletal neoplasms), gastrointestinal imaging, and fluoroscopy.

Originally from Nebraska, Dr. Cederberg holds bachelor's degrees in biology and in biochemistry from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his radiology residency training at UT Southwestern, where he remained to obtain advanced training through a fellowship program in pediatric radiology.

Dr. Cederberg serves as liaison for Children’s Medical Center and acts as supervisor for the Assistant Residency Program at Children’s Medical Center.

Dr. Cederberg’s research in areas such as pediatric chemotherapy has resulted in multiple original publications since 2008. Most of his research endeavors are in collaboration with the Department of Oncology. He is also investigating using imaging and computational tools to improve risk stratification in children with bone cancer.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Cederberg's commitment to medical training is demonstrated by his participation on the Radiology Residency Recruitment, Curriculum, Program Evaluation, and Clinical Competency committees. He is also involved with the Pediatric Fellowship Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation committees. Dr. Cederberg's dedication to improving patient care is exemplified by his service on the Children's Health MRI Quality Committee.

Dr. Cederberg is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Pediatric Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, and the Texas Radiological Society.
