Biography

Kevin J. Gingrich, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in neuroanesthesiology and general anesthesiology. 

Dr. Gingrich earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh and completed a residency in anesthesiology at Albany Medical Center. 

Prior to joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2012, Dr. Gingrich served on the staffs of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the University of Rochester Medical Center, Thomas Jefferson Medical College, and the New York University Langone Medical Center. 

He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Gingrich has authored several research articles, book chapters, and abstract presentations on anesthesia, ion channel physiology and pharmacology, and neuroscience.

He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Biophysical Society, the Association of University Anesthesiologists, the International Brain Research Organization, and the Society for Neuroscience.
