Biography

Lan Peng, M.D., is a board-certified Professor of Pathology and the Director of the Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical interests and expertise include neoplastic and non-neoplastic liver and gastrointestinal pathology and liver transplant pathology.

Dr. Lan Peng completed her medical residency in pathology at New York University. She completed a surgical oncology pathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and a liver and gastrointestinal pathology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.

Before joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2011, Dr. Peng spent two years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

She is on the editorial board of several journals in the field of gastrointestinal and liver disorders.
