Biography

Laura Van Winkle-Preston, D.N.P., APRN, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner in the Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research Clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Ms. Van Winkle-Preston completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Texas A&M University before earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas Woman’s University. She obtained her Master of Science in nursing in 2009 and became a certified family nurse practitioner. She continued her education at Texas Woman’s University and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2013.

Ms. Van Winkle-Preston has worked in various specialties, including family practice and anesthesia. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Texas Nurse Practitioners.
