Biography
Leili Rahimi, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Endocrinology. She specializes in adrenal, pituitary, and neuroendocrine disorders.
Originally from Iran, Dr. Rahimi earned her medical degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran. She completed her internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Ohio and pursued advanced fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, Dr. Rahimi joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Her clinical focus includes a multidisciplinary approach to managing adrenal and pituitary disorders, as well as endocrine tumor syndromes. Dr. Rahimi’s research interests center on advancing the understanding of adrenal and pituitary disorders, with particular interest in the diagnostic and clinical challenges of adrenal tumors, pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma. She has authored 18 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at national and international medical conferences.
She is an active member of several professional societies, including the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, Pituitary Society, and American College of Physicians.
Personal Note
Outside of medicine, she is a nature lover who enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling the world, and spending time with family and friends.
