Biography

Lucas Wang, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and its Division of Hospital Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in COVID-19 and targeted therapy derived from molecular tumor assays.

Dr. Wang earned his medical degree at The University of Texas at Austin’s Dell Medical School, and he completed his residency in internal medicine at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Wang is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Transplant Congress.

He has delivered numerous presentations and published academic articles related to his areas of expertise.

In 2011 and 2015, he received the Foundation for the Homeless Spirit of Compassion Award.

Personal Note

When he is not at work, Dr. Wang enjoys ultimate frisbee, basketball, traveling, and Liverpool FC.
